Father's Day this year was pretty low key. Unfortunately Marcus and I were a little under the weather for Father's Day, but I still think Cole had a good day. Marcus woke up and we went downstairs to let Cole sleep in for the morning. Then once he woke up I offered to get him breakfast. So I packed Marcus up and headed off to Alia's to get some coffee and breakfast. Marcus and I went for a nice little stroll to the shop. Alia's has wonderful bagels with cream cheese that get made in house so we go there frequently on the weekends.
We then spent the day just relaxing and watching movies. I did a little bit of light cleaning. I wanted to make Cole a southern dinner of country fried steak, but that had to wait. Monday I was still feeling sick but I was determined to make Cole his father's day dinner. So I whipped up mashed potatoes, gravy and chicken fried steak. His father's day present consisted of a card (we decided no gifts this year) and Marcus had a pen with his footprint on it from the daycare. He also got a coffee mug from the daycare, that was colored on, but since Marcus can't color yet, that was more of a regular coffee mug. Still the thought that counts though.
Next year I am determined to make Father's Day a little more special than just a card and dinner a day late. Fingers crossed we won't be sick again next year!
We may not have it all together ... but together we have it all.

From Marcus' Blog: Your Picture Post for 4 Months
I have found that I am spending so much time enjoying you and your adorableness that I haven't done well at posting blogs or pics. Your 5 month 'birthday' is coming up here soon so here are is the last set of pictures for while you were 4 months. As you may notice most of these pics are with you laying on your belly practicing tummy time. You really LOVE tummy time now. That and there are a few pics of you with your giraffe. That is Sophie, she is a teething animal. You have also really started teething like crazy and are always chewing on your hand or anything else you can get in your mouth.

What a Wonderful Weekend
This weekend was soooo busy, but absolutely wonderful. We didn't get any pictures of the weekend but its weekends like this that I don't want to forget. Somehow a midst all of the craziness everything worked out and ran smoothly.
Friday we went out to dinner with my friend Lindsay and her husband Joe. We went to Red Robin which was perfect since their baby Brody came and we brought Marcus. Red Robin was full of babies and families so we didn't have to worry about them crying, that being said we didn't need to worry about it because they were both angels. After dinner we spent a little time playing in the grass at the restaurant as Brody is almost one and learning to walk. It was cute to see Brody and Marcus interacting. After dinner we went to Jake and Jessica's apartment and spent some time with them. Marcus was a trooper and slept in his car seat until we got home.
Saturday we woke up and headed to the Farmer's Market to meet my friend Meagan and her girls. We hung out at the market while her girls had their faces painted and did a craft project. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. T-shirt and shorts weather and the sun was shining. After we rendezvoused for a while Cole and I went to brunch together at Fork. Our sweet baby boy went to sleep at just the perfect time right before brunch was served. Cole and I enjoyed a wonderful brunch on the patio and had cocktails as we watched the Saturday Market go on in front of us.
After brunch and the market the heat took a lot out of us. We headed back to the house and took naps. Then we had just enough time to get ready and head out for an evening of BBQs. Our friend Dasha had a BBQ that we stopped by first. We ate dinner there and Marcus was the object of every girls affection. After Dasha's we headed out to our friends Matt and Tina's for another BBQ. It was Matt's birthday celebration so we had dessert out there and then we celebrated with a campfire in his back yard. There was lots of drinking that went on by most of the guests there, including Cole, so we decided to spend the night at their house. I went to bed with Marcus and Cole stayed up for some more festivities.
In the morning we headed home and enjoyed a day of lounging around while having a Star Wars marathon. We all napped and caught up on our sleep. Sweet baby Marcus sat with us and played and talked and slept right along with us. It was a perfect day home together. Later in the evening we dropped Marcus off at my parent's house and Cole and I went out for some alone time. We went to the Legend's Sports Bar for happy hour, dinner, and watched the basketball game. We had enough time to catch up and talk one on one. Afterwards we picked up Marcus and headed home for the evening. It was a very busy but wonderful weekend full of friends, family time with just the three of us, and lots of memories.

From Marcus' Blog: Picture Post for 3 Month Photos
You are now officially 4 months and I am running behind on posting pictures of you from while you were three months. So here they are! You got SUPER cute during your third month. Not that you haven't been this whole time, it just seems that with each passing day you get cuter and cuter!
This one was taken right before you turned 4 months.
We went to the food truck rally one day and I dressed you up in this cute little outfit. Your dad said you looked like an old man ready to go golfing. I think you looked adorable!
This is your notorious pouty face. You have done this for a long time, but it took us quite a while to catch it on camera.
You love tummy time now. Your beautiful blue eyes are to die for in these pics.
Smiling at mom!
