Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their family and friends. We were able to spend the morning with Cole's family watching football and snacking. Cole's brother Grae came into town and so we got to spend some time with him. In the evening we went to dinner at my parents house. We had Thanksgiving dinner with my family, grandma, and we got to meet Chris' new girlfriend Tiffany. Since we didn't eat dinner with Cole's family on Thursday, we went over and had prime rib with them on Friday.

Saturday was another busy day. Boise State played the Wyoming Cowboys in football and so we went with Cole's family to the game since that is where Grae goes to school at. BSU won by a lot, but it was fun to go together as a group. It is also the first time that Cole and I have gotten to go to the football game this season. Overall the weekend was wonderful and just what it should be, spent with friends and family. The only downfall was that I was sick for pretty much the whole weekend so it was hard for me to keep up. Today was spent resting and trying to get better before work starts back up tomorrow!

In honor of Thanksgiving and what the holiday is truly for....I am going to discuss some things that I am thankful for in my life. Cliche I know, but I think it is necessary.

I am thankful for my husband Cole. We have spent almost 10 years together and although we have our ups and downs like every relationship, I never doubt that we love each other with our whole hearts. Recently I have really felt like we have become a team in everything we do and I love that we help each other out. I am thankful that he helps around the house and helps pick up the slack when I can't. I am thankful for the next few months that we get to spend together just being us before we start our little family. I will cherish these next few months knowing they will be the last we will be alone for a while.

I am thankful for my job. My work has helped foster growth in me and has supported my ambitions for a higher level position. Although the company struggles at times, they have always taken care of me. My work provides me a challenge every day and fulfillment. I have made many friends over the four years at the hospital and for the most part I look forward to going to work. My boss is wonderful to work for and my staff is awesome. I know I am blessed to have a job that I enjoy and feel satisfied in.

I am thankful for my family. Both my inlaws and my family are always there when I need them. Both sides appreciate spending time with family but also understand when I need time for myself. They are supportive and loving. Whenever they are away, I realize how easy it can be to take your family for granted and I realize how much I miss them when they are away. Although we are all at different stages in our lives and have very different personalities we can come together and enjoy each other's company and celebrate successes. Included in this list is my wonderful dog Bailey. Although she can be very needy and a bed hog, I love her to death and can't hardly remember my life without her. She is a lover and my heart melts every time she sees me after I have been away from her. She is the definition of unconditional love.

Lastly my friends. I feel like I have the best friends in the world. They are there to catch me when I fall and are always willing to lend a listening ear when I need it. We share in laughs and wonderful memories. I always look forward to spending time with them and providing them support when they need it.

I hope you feel that you have just as much to be thankful for in your life. Happy Thanksgiving!
